M.L.Ponnappa chetty & Bros ghee manufacturing company was     started by Mr. M.L.Ponnappa Chetty along with his brothers in   Coimbatore. Our company was started in the year 1940 in a   humble way in this city. MLP Balakrishna ghee brand under the   rich  experience and guidance of all the elder brothers was well   managed and promoted by the younger brother Mr. L. Krishna   Chettiar.In the year 1967 after his demise the company was ably   managed by his sons Mr. K. Muthukumaraswamy and Mr. K. Mani.   

Our MLP Balakrishna Ghee Company grew big and its clientele   spread to all the neighbouring states,few states in North India and   Entered into Global market in 1998. Presently this company is well   managed by K. Mani, K. Venkatachalam and M. Murali son of   Mr.Muthukumaraswamy.
